Description
Lower Cragg is a house dating from the late 17th century, constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and a three-room plan, featuring quoins at the corners. It has several double chamfered mullioned windows, though all lack two of their mullions. There is a prominent four-light window above, along with a doorway that has a later inscribed lintel reading "18 WF 90," which is topped by a mid-20th century storm porch. Additionally, there are two five-light windows above, and the house has two stacks at the ridge. Attached to the right end of the house is a single-storey building with a doorway featuring monolithic jambs.
