Description

This is a house, dated 1757 and rebuilt in 1833. It is constructed of coursed millstone grit with a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high with two first-floor windows. Its windows are mullioned, set in plain stone surrounds. The central doorway is also in a plain stone surround, with a single-light window to the left and a three-light window to the right. Above the door is a moulded, round-arched recess containing a datestone, with a three-light window to the left and a two-light window to the right. A cast-iron name plate reading 'West Lane' is fixed to the ground floor on the left. The building has end stacks.
