Description
The Caretakers House for West Lane Methodist Church, likely originally a manse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed stone with a stone slate roof and has two storeys and two bays. The gable front features quoins and flat-faced mullion windows set in plain stone surrounds, with some mullions removed. The doorway also has a plain stone surround. Notably, the west gable incorporates part of the wall from the chapel that used to stand to the west of this house. This chapel was a Methodist Chapel built in 1758, which was later demolished and replaced in the 19th century, and has since been demolished.
