Description
Oakdene is a house dated 1755, as indicated by the inscription on the door lintel. It is constructed from watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof with rendered stacks. The building has a double-depth, two-storey central-staircase layout and includes a projecting plinth. The central door is framed by a double-quirked bead stone surround and the inscribed lintel. On each floor, there are two three-light windows, and above the door, there is a two-light window. All windows have recessed chamfered mullions, and most still have leaded lights. The gable ends feature stacks, and the rear of the house has similar fenestration, including a stair window at the half level.
