Description
Two houses, originally several cottages, were built in the late 17th, early 18th, and mid-18th centuries. The construction uses hammer-dressed stone with a slate and asbestos slate roof. The long, single-depth building is two stories high and includes a barn in the first bay, now integrated as part of the house. Number 24 has four bays with quoins. A blocked cart door is present, along with two-light windows on each floor of the second bay, three-light windows on each floor of the third and seventh bays, and a seven-light window in the fourth bay. The windows feature flat-faced stone mullions, many of which have been replaced in the 20th century. The doors have been moved, and a 20th-century porch now sits on the east side of the building. Number 28, the older section, incorporates a 20th-century bay window and a door hidden by a lean-to beneath a two-light, double-chamfered mullion window. The rear elevation has quoins and a four-light recessed chamfered ground floor mullion window, with a two-light and a four-light double-chamfered stone mullion window above. Ridge chimneys are a prominent feature.
