Description

No. 286 Manningham Lane is a villa built around 1850. It is two storeys tall and constructed of ashlar stone, featuring a three-bay front with full-height canted bay windows on either side. The design includes a frieze, cornice, and a blocking course that projects over the bays. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and there are corniced chimneys. The central window on the first floor has a raised plain surround with a cornice above it. There is an Ionic column porch, and a two-bay wing with a cornice that extends over it. The villa occupies an important corner site at the junction with Queen's Road.
