Description
Parkfield House is a substantial villa built around 1850-1860. It is two stories high and constructed of ashlar stone, featuring a symmetrical three-bay front where the outer bays slightly project forward. The building has a plinth, a string course, and chamfered quoins. It includes a bed mould to the frieze and a bracketed cornice topped with a blocking course. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, adorned with corniced chimneys. The first floor has plain revealed sash windows, while the ground floor features shallow tripartite bow windows supported by pilasters and an entablature. There is a projecting porch on the plinth, which is supported by Doric pilasters that double as columns, and it is topped with a Doric entablature.
