Description
No. 149 on Little Horton Lane is a villa built around 1850-1860. It is two storeys tall and constructed from dressed sandstone that resembles brick. The front features three bays with horizontally grooved quoin pilasters. There is a plinth and a sill course, along with modillion brackets supporting a deep moulded eaves cornice. The roof is slate and has flanking chimneys.
The central window on the first floor has an eared architrave surround. The ground floor has tripartite windows, also with similar surrounds, and their friezes are flanked by console brackets and moulded cornices. The entrance features a Tuscan columned doorway, a frieze, and a dentil cornice. The fanlight above the door has double moulded imposts leading to an archivolt arch.
