Description

The pair of cottages at 42 and 44 Aldersholes Lane, Thornton, date from approximately 1800. They are built of sandstone "bricks" and have a stone slate roof with saddlestones and prominent sawn ashlar kneelers. Each cottage features three-light square mullion windows, and the doorways have plain squared surrounds.
