Description
Nos 185 and 187 on Thornton Old Road are a pair of cottages built around 1820-1830, located on the east side of a paved yard south of Crossley Hall. These two-storey structures are made of sandstone that resembles brick and feature a stone slate roof with corniced chimneys. The cottages have single light squared surround windows, and No 185 has three light square mullion windows. The doorways have squared jambs. These cottages are included in the listing for their group value.
