Description

Nos 173 to 179 on Thornton Old Road are a row of cottages built around 1830-1840. They are two-storey structures made of sandstone that resembles brick, featuring a platband. The roofs are covered with stone slates and have corniced chimneys. The first floor has single light windows, while the ground floor has two light square mullioned windows, all with squared surrounds. The doorways have squared jambs.
