Description

Numbers 26A and 30 are a late 18th-century cottage with a rear outshut and a barn attached to the east side, built on a sloping ground. The cottage is constructed from irregular coursed sandstone “bricks”, while the barn is partly dry walled. The roof is covered with stone slates and features corniced chimneys. The cottage has a two-light square mullion window and a glazing bar sash window, both set within squared surrounds. A central four-panel door is framed by squared jambs, and a heavy lintel is above the barn doorway.
