Description
Nether Glensone is a late 18th century single-storey, three-bay cottage constructed from rubble. It features fine detached granite barn nearby. The cottage has single light windows on either side of the door, although the front windows are blocked. At the rear, there are two four-pane sash windows. The cottage is topped with a good graded slate roof, complemented by sandstone ridge and skews, and has coped end stacks.
The barn is a tall single-storey structure made of granite rubble with pinnings and square quoins. It has a depressed arch vehicle entrance on the southwest side, with a tall wide winnowing door to the right. The north gable includes three slit vents, and the barn also has end skews and a good graded slate roof.
