Description

Woodside Bridge is a single arch stone bridge built in the late 18th or early 19th century, located over Boreland Burn near Caulkerbush village. The bridge has an approximate span of 33 feet and a carriageway that is about 15 feet wide. It features wide polished granite voussoirs, rubble spandrels and abutments, a dressed rubble soffit, and bull-faced granite springers. The parapet is made of rubble with polished red sandstone coping, which includes terminal pyramidal caps and a slightly splayed embrasure.
