Description
Torrorie is an 18th-century house with a symmetrical design. It is a three-storey, three-bay main block accompanied by a two-storey, single-bay wing on each side. The house is built of rubble stone with contrasting painted ashlar detailing. The south elevation features a 19th-century corniced porch in the centre, with a door situated in the re-entrant angle. A window to the left of the porch has been altered to a bipartite design. All windows are four-pane sashes, including those within the flanking wings. A small lean-to adjoins the east wing gable and evidence suggests a similar structure once existed on the west wing. The north elevation displays a swept roof over an addition to the left and has few openings. The roof is finished with graded slates and has corniced end stacks with straight skews. The steading located to the north is not included as part of this listing. The statutory address is Torrorie House.
