Description
This is an earlier to mid-19th century schoolhouse, possibly with a later raising of its height in the century. It is now divided into two houses named Schoolhouse and Criffel View. The building has two storeys and originally seven bays, arranged as four bays to the north and three bays to the south. It was built of rubble with ashlar dressings. The northern section (Schoolhouse) has been harled and features a door to the right. The southern section (Criffel View) is whitewashed with a central door. Sash windows with 3-pane glazing are found throughout the building. The roof is continuous and slate-covered, with graded slates and corniced end stacks. Straight skews are present. Rear wings extend from the main structure.
