3 Wellington Buildings, Carsethorn

3 Wellington Buildings, Carsethorn, is a row of five houses dating from around 1815, including a shop. The building consists of two storeys. Each house originally had three bays with a central door, although one has been subdivided with an additional door. The end houses each have a further bay with a piended roof. The buildings are constructed of rubble with ashlar margins. Numbers 1 and 2 have painted margins, rusticated quoins, a first-floor cill band, eaves/lintel band, and Lochinvar detailing. Number 2 is harled, while the other houses are limewashed or painted rubble. Each outer door has a porch, while the other doors have fanlights, two of which are decorative. Most windows are small-paned sash windows. The roofs are predominantly slated, with some tiled sections. Straight skews and corniced end stacks are present. A garden area lies in front of the houses, largely enclosed by rubble-built walls.
