Description

The Little Orchard is a late 18th century cottage constructed from white-washed granite rubble. It features a slurried slate roof with gable ends and granite chimney stacks integrated into the end walls, topped with cap stones. The building is one storey with an attic and has two later sash windows with vertical glazing bars. The central doorway is topped by a simple wooden hood, and there is a small attic window above it, also with glazing bars. On the rear wall, there is a stone feature with two basin-shaped hollows, which may have been used for milling grain or tin, although its age is uncertain.
