Description
This is a milepost located approximately 100 metres north of the junction with Thornton Road in Denholme Gate. It dates from the late 19th century and features a cast-iron triangular front with a rounded top, mounted on a stone post. The inscription in raised letters reads: "KEIGHLEY & HALIFAX ROAD DENHOLME HALIFAX 5 MILES 1½ MILES KEIGHLEY (7 MILES)." The base of the post is partially buried.
