4/1 Gate House and 24th October 1974 White Cottage (formerly listed as Denholme Gate Farmhouse)

Farmhouse. Probably early C18, altered. Rendered walls. Stone slate roof. Two storeys. Central doorway in C20 stone porch. To left is 8-light double-chamfered window with king-mullion. Above this, to 1st floor, is 8-light window with recessed flat-faced mullions and king-mullion. To right, ground floor, is doorway with adjoining window, and to 1st floor, one 2-light window with flat-faced mullion. Moulded stone brackets to gutter. Brick gable stacks. Single-storey addition to left. Altered windows to rear. Left gable apex has blind lunette.
