Description
Redmire Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The building is rendered and features a graduated stone slate roof. It has two storeys and two bays. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed four-panel door set in a plain surround, which is sheltered by a 20th-century glazed porch. On either side of the door and on the first floor, there are three-light flat-faced mullion windows, with the mullions being slightly recessed. The farmhouse has banded end stacks. Although the eaves may have been raised in the early 19th century, the house maintains the proportions of a mid-18th century vernacular building that is rarely found in the area. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey.
