Description

Kettlewell Bridge is a bridge over the River Wharfe, built in the late 18th century. It was widened on the downstream (south) side, likely in the late 19th century, and restored in the 20th century. The bridge is constructed of ashlar and rubble stone. The north face features ashlar with two segmental arches and a large pointed cutwater between them, which has a pilaster above and flanking pilasters. There is a projecting band at road level made up of two stepped courses and a projecting flat parapet coping. The flanking walls end in square piers. The south face is made of rubble with ashlar voussoirs and a parapet.
