Description
Borrings Cottage, along with an attached barn and outbuilding, is likely from the late 18th century. The structure is built from limestone rubble and features a graduated stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high with two bays. It has a central six-panel door set in a plain surround, topped by a pitched stone hood. There are flat-faced mullion windows on either side, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor. The house has end stacks.
To the left, there is a lean-to outbuilding that overlaps with the house and barn. This outbuilding has a board door in a plain surround on the right side, a small square four-pane window, and a Victorian letter box set into the roadside wall. The barn to the left features a left bay with an altered segmental-arched cart entrance and a square loading door above. The attached house to the right is not included in the listing.
