Description

The former farmhouse and attached barn, located to the east of Rush Isles Farm, dates from the early 17th century with a late 18th-century addition. It is constructed of dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has quoins and is two storeys high.

On the south front, the farmhouse is set back to the right and includes a pair of 3-light chamfered mullion windows, a finely moulded band at the first floor, and a former 3-light chamfered mullion window above a central doorway that has been inserted. To the left, the projecting farm buildings have no openings.

The east gable entrance front features a doorway to the right with a segmental headed flush ashlar lintel. Above this doorway, there are a 3-light chamfered mullion window to the left and a 2-light chamfered mullion window to the right. The gable is capped with prominent moulded ashlar kneelers.

On the north front, there is a projecting farmhouse wing to the left with partly blocked 3-light and 2-light chamfered mullion windows. Above, there is a central former 2-light chamfered mullion window with a later glazing bar window. The set-back farm buildings to the right are partly collapsed and include a window opening to the right. The west gable has two window openings.
