Description

This is a 19th-century milepost located approximately 100 meters east of the junction with Hill House Edge Lane. It is made of cast iron and painted white, bolted to a stone block. The milepost has a triangular section with a recessed, rounded head. One side displays the inscription 'Keighley 5 miles', while the opposite side reads 'Hebden Bridge 6 miles'. The face of the head features the text 'Lees and Hebden Bridge Road Oxenhope'.
