SK39SW BRADFIELD OUGHTIBRIDGE LANE (south side)

10/86 Outbuilding 3/6/76 approximately 25 metres to south-east of Oughtibridge Hall.

GV II

Cowhouse. Probably C17, altered. Partly cruck framed, squared sandstone rubble, Welsh slate roof. Single storey. 4 bays (internal). Board door to left flanked by casements. To right another board door with casement to its right. Square-cut gable copings, damaged roof, Interior: 2 cruck pairs, bases raised within walling. Left truss has rear blade sawn off and supported on longitudinal beam, purlin tie. Right truss has wall tie beam. Windbraces to single purlins, square-set ridge on saddle apex, Included partly for group considerations.
