Description

This building is an outbuilding, likely dating from the 17th century, located approximately 25 metres southeast of Oughtibridge Hall. It has been altered over time and is constructed partly with cruck framing and squared sandstone rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The structure is single storey and consists of four internal bays.

The entrance features a board door on the left, flanked by casement windows, while to the right there is another board door with a casement window beside it. The gable copings are square-cut, and the roof shows signs of damage. Inside, there are two pairs of cruck trusses, with their bases raised within the walling. The left truss has had its rear blade sawn off and is supported by a longitudinal beam and purlin tie, while the right truss includes a wall tie beam. Windbraces support the single purlins, and there is a square-set ridge at the saddle apex. This building is included partly for its group value with nearby structures.
