Description

This guide pillar, located at the junction with Long Lane on the south-east side, dates from the 19th century, with its lettering recut in the 20th century. It is made of gritstone, measuring approximately 18 inches square and standing 4 feet 6 inches high. The inscriptions are set in recessed bands, featuring original fingers indicating direction below each word, except for the word "BRADFIELD." The north face of the pillar reads "SHEFFIELD HILL TOP," while the west face reads "ONESACRE BRADFIELD."
