Description
This guide pillar, dating from the 19th century, is located at the junction of Kirk Edge Road and Burnt Hill Lane. It is made of gritstone and measures approximately 14 inches by 16 inches and stands 4 feet 6 inches tall. The top three edges are chamfered, and there are fingers below the inscriptions that indicate direction, except for the one below "SHEFFIELD." The west face is inscribed with "WORRALL SHEFFIELD" and includes a benchmark, while the north face features the inscription "BRADFIELD OUGHTIBRIDGE."
