SK3081SE VICARAGE LANE, Dore 784-1/38/815 (North West side) Memorial lych gate, gateway & flanking walls 25m east of Christ Church

GV II

Memorial lych gate, gateway and flanking walls to Christ Church, Church Lane (qv). Late C19 and dated 1921. Lych gate has ashlar side walls carrying an open principal rafter plain tile roof on posts, with segment-arched braces front and rear. Billeted tie beam. Gateway has square ashlar piers with pyramidal tops, and a pair of traceried wooden gates. Serpentine flanking walls, coursed squared stone, with square piers and flat copings. Included for group value.
