Description

The war memorial, located at the junction with Savage Lane in Dore, was erected around 1920. It features a life-size granite figure of a standing soldier, set upon a tapered square ashlar pedestal that includes a moulded plinth and cornice. The front of the pedestal has an inscribed bronze tablet. The memorial is raised on a square base consisting of two steps.
