Description
Croft House is a house dating from the late 17th century, which was refronted in the early 19th century. The front is made of coursed squared stone, while the rear is constructed of brick, featuring ashlar dressings. The roofs are hipped and gabled, covered with Welsh slate and stone slate, and there are single stacks on the side wall and gable. The house has two storeys and a two-window range of 2-light casements with toplights. The front displays two windows on each floor, with the lower ones being larger. The right side has a 3-light flush mullioned casement and a 2-light casement to its left. Below these, there is a beaded 6-panel door with a 19th-century hood, followed by a cross casement, another 2-light casement, and an additional door. The left side features a stair window. At the rear, there is a brick gable on the right with a dentilled eaves band, and to the left, a 2-light casement in a chamfered stone surround. Below this, there is a 2-light window with a stone chamfered mullion, and to its right, a smaller casement with a moulded stone surround. The left rear wing has 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected.
