Description
The war memorial, located 250 meters east of the chapels at Tinsley Park Cemetery in Sheffield, was constructed around 1920 and designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield. It is made of Portland stone and features a bronze sword. The memorial consists of a tapered octagonal cross shaft with a plinth and a bronze sword at the front. The inscribed octagonal pedestal stands on an octagonal base, which is elevated by two steps and topped with a cornice. This memorial honors members of the armed forces who are buried in the cemetery.
