Description

The war memorial, located 80 meters north-east of the crematorium at City Road Cemetery in Sheffield, was built around 1920 and designed by Sir R Blomfield. It is made of Portland stone and features a cross with a tapered octagonal section, which has a bronze sword at the front, mounted on an inscribed octagonal pedestal. The memorial stands on an octagonal base with a lip. At the rear, there is a curved wall linked by paving, which has a stepped triangular coping and is inscribed with names.
