Description
The gateway and screen walls at the entrance to Norfolk Park were built around 1876. They are made of dressed squared stone with ashlar dressings and feature wrought-iron gates. The structure has a chamfered plinth. The central gateway is flanked by octagonal piers topped with ogee domed caps and includes simple wrought-iron gates. The side walls have balustrades with lozenge-shaped piercings. To the left, there is a side gate with a shouldered square gable that displays a coat of arms, along with a round-headed opening that has a wrought-iron gate and a label mould. Further to the left is a short section of screen wall and another octagonal pier with an ogee domed cap. To the right, there is a single cell building that has stepped coping and a small window. Additionally, in the left return, there is an elliptical arched door.
