Description
The entrance lodge to Norfolk Park, now a house, was built around 1841. It is constructed from squared dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a fish scale slate roof, which has a double central ridge stack that has been reduced in height. The building is designed in the Tudor Revival style, characterized by a chamfered plinth, quoins, Gothic traceried bargeboards, and gable finials.
This two-storey structure has a two-window range. The front elevation includes a slightly projecting bay on the left, which has a gabled through-eaves dormer with a two-light mullioned casement. Below this dormer is a canted bay window with a hipped roof and a similar casement. To the right, there is a coat of arms set in a panel, and beneath it, a Tudor arched doorway with a flat-headed surround, flanked on the right by another two-light mullioned casement.
On the right side of the building, there is a three-light mullioned window, and below it, a square bay window with a four-light mullioned window. The left side features a two-light mullioned window on each floor. The interior has not been inspected.
