Description
This is a lamp standard located at the entrance to Norfolk Park, dating from around 1876 and later moved in the 20th century. It features a cast-iron stem with sheet metal lanterns, designed in a decorative Gothic style. The base is chamfered and supports a coved square shaft, which is reinforced by four flying buttresses topped with finials. There are bracketed cross-arms, each holding an ogee-domed lantern with a finial. Originally, the shaft was topped with a lantern, but this is now missing. The lamp standard was previously situated at the junction of Queen's Road and Granville Road.
