Description

Lamp standard numbered 11, located on the island at the head of Northumberland Avenue, dates from around 1880. It is made of cast iron and features an ornate design. The lamp standard has a bell-shaped base decorated with griffins and is topped by an urn that supports a group of three putti holding festoons. The shaft of the lamp standard carries three lamps on curved brackets that are adorned with scroll ornamentation.
