Description
Arbourthorne Cottages south-west are three estate cottages, now houses, built around 1841 for the 12th Duke of Norfolk. They are constructed from coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and feature stone slate roofs, which have two stone ridge stacks and a single side wall stack. The cottages are two storeys high and have a two-window range, arranged in an L-plan. The windows are glazing bar casements. On the right side, there is a gable with a two-light window above and a three-light window below. On the left side, a gabled through-eaves dormer contains a two-light window, with a three-light window below it. This window is flanked on the right by a gabled porch and on the left by another three-light window. The returns of the cottages have similar porches. The interior has not been inspected. These cottages form a handed pair with those to the north-east and were likely built when Norfolk Park was laid out.
