Description
The former stable court, now a squash club, was built in 1839 and has undergone some alterations in the late 20th century. It was constructed for Samuel Roberts and features coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings, although the roof is not visible. The main range includes a plinth and a coped panelled parapet with a small central gable. The centre projects slightly and has a 20th-century doorway. To the left, there is an 11-light slit window. The left end of the building has a higher square tower with machicolations and a crenellated parapet, featuring a double lancet window above and a single lancet window below, both with label moulds. The right end has a round corner tower. This building serves as an ancillary structure to Queen's Tower.
