Description
The terrace wall, gateway, and stair located to the west of Queen's Tower were built in 1839 for Samuel Roberts. Constructed from rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings, the polygonal wall is approximately 40 meters long and features two round corner piers, a string course, and a crenellated parapet. At the south end, the gateway includes vermiculated piers and a chamfered pointed opening topped with a stepped gable and a crocketed finial. The steps are adorned with a traceried balustrade supported by square piers. This structure serves as an ancillary building to Queen's Tower and is included for its group value.
