Lodge, gateway and boundary wall to cemetery. 1880. By Holmes & Johnson. Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and slate roof with 2 shouldered side wall stacks and 2 smaller square side wall stacks. Gothic Revival style. Chamfered plinth and eaves, coped gables. 2 storeys plus garrets; 2 window range. L-plan. To left, gable-facing wing with 2 plain sashes on each floor, those to the garret with foiled pointed heads. Right return has a projecting gable to right with a coped square bay window with 3 plain sashes. In the return angle, a tall gabled wooden porch with cusped opening, covering a panelled door with overlight. Boundary wall has chamfered plinth and coping. To left of gateway, close to the lodge, a close boarded door under a shouldered square gable. To its right, 6 sections of spiked railing with piers with pyramidal caps. Approx 75m long. Gateway has 4 chamfered square piers, the central ones slightly larger, with pyramidal caps. Double wrought-iron gates flanked by single pedestrian gates. Boundary wall continues to right of the gateway with 6 sections of railing, then a solid section with a blocked doorway. Approx 75m long.
