Description
This is a single-storey farmbuilding from the early 19th century, located on the north side of the farmyard at North Farm. It is constructed from coursed, squared limestone and features a pantile roof. The building has an elongated shape with a six-bay north-facing cartshed at the west end, a central cowshed, and a three-bay south-facing shelter shed with a forge at the west end.
On the northern elevation, the cartshed to the right is supported by round stone piers with square abaci, and the openings are spanned by a wall plate. The central part of the range is blind, except for garage doors on the right. The left end has a door leading into the rear of the shelter shed, which has two recessed panels to its left. The forge includes a door and a window, both with cambered arches. The roof is hipped, with a brick end stack for the forge on the left.
The southern elevation features a central section with a door flanked by slatted casements beneath flat arches. The shelter shed on the right is supported by tapered stone columns.
