Description

Harrisons Hire and Sales is a late 18th-century farmbuilding that now serves as the premises for an agricultural machinery contractor. The structure is built from squared limestone resting on a limestone rubble plinth, with a brick eaves course and a pantile roof. It features a long range of buildings with a gable end facing the street, consisting of one and a half storeys and six bays.

The front includes a segment-headed cart arch made of tooled voussoirs, with slatted double doors positioned to the center right. To the left of the arch, there are three stable doors, and a fourth stable door is located at the end right. Between the left stable doors, there is a slatted window with divided light, and above, there are shuttered pitching windows in the loft.

On the rear side, there is a stable door to the right of center and a shuttered window to the ground floor left of center. The remaining openings on the rear are shuttered pitching windows in the loft. All openings, except for the cart arch, have painted timber lintels. The building is included for its group value.
