Description

This is a pair of houses located at 15 Chapel Road, known as the School House, and 16 Chapel Road. They were built in the mid-18th century and were later remodeled and extended in the 20th century. The houses are constructed of squared limestone sitting on a limestone rubble plinth, with a brick eaves course. The extension is made of variegated brick in stretcher bond and is rendered at the front. The roof is covered with pantiles and features partly rebuilt brick stacks.

The buildings are two stories high and have a five-window front. The School House has a 19th-century panelled door located at the center, while No 16 has a board door positioned at the center right. The windows throughout both houses are two-light, twenty-four-pane casements with stone sills, painted on the School House. Ground-floor openings have painted wedge lintels, and first-floor openings have thin timber lintels. There are stacks at both ends and one in the center right.
