NORTH AND SOUTH ANSTON BRANCLIFFE LANE SK58SW (west end), near Shireoaks 5/60 Barn approximately 25 metres to north of Brancliffe Grange Farmhouse

Barn. Early C18. Rubble stone, stone slate eaves courses to pantile roof. 2 storeys, 7 bays. Large quoins. Central waggon entrance with full-height boarded doors. Ground-floor slit vents, some now blocked. 1st floor: 2 square hatches on left have wooden surrounds, similar hatch beneath eaves on right. Rear: opposed waggon entrance with door and window opening on its right. Left return: ground-floor door on left has surround with plinth blocks, impost blocks and segmentally-arched soffit to lintel; small window in gable; weathervane. Interior: not fully inspected, roof has collared principal-rafter trusses.
