4/104 Garden House approximately 90 metres 29.3.68 to north-east of Doric Temple

GV II

Small garden house. Mid-late C18 for the Wentworth estate. Sandstone ashlar facade; coursed, squared sandstone elsewhere; stone slate roof. Single-storey niche. Impost band to keyed round arch. Cornice returns to conceal monoclinal roof.

Interior: curved stone seat in niche beneath semi-domed vault. Overlooks the Rockingham Mausoleum (q.v.). In danger of collapse at time of resurvey.
