Description
This group of six garden urns dates from the late 18th century and was created for the Wentworth estate. Made of sandstone, the urns are symmetrically arranged in a line, flanking the main steps at the west front of Wentworth Woodhouse. The two inner urns are oval in shape, while the outer urns are smaller and round. Each urn stands on a low plinth, features a flared foot, and has a moulded bowl with egg-and-dart decoration around the rim.
