Description

A group of six garden urns dates to the late 18th century and were created for the Wentworth estate. They are constructed from sandstone and are symmetrically placed in a line along a path at the west front of Wentworth Woodhouse. The outermost and innermost urns are oval in shape, while the four central urns are round. Each urn sits on a low plinth with a flared foot, and has a moulded bowl with egg-and-dart enrichment to the rim.
