Description

The sundial base, located at the mid-point of the south terrace, dates from the mid-18th century and was created for the Wentworth Estate. It is made of limestone or weathered marble and features an octagonal plinth and base. The pedestal is trumpet-shaped and is adorned with curled tongues of foliate carving. The sundial itself is missing.
