Description

The sundial, located in the walled garden northwest of Lydiard Park House, dates from between 1716 and 1740. It is made of limestone and has a heavy baluster shape. The sundial features a bronze plate and gnomon, which is inscribed with "J. Sisson, London," and displays the arms of the second Viscount St. John impaling Pelissary. The sundial was relocated to its current position around 2005.
